An early look at a new Disney Short.

The short, The Ballad of Nessie, will be attached to Disney’s new Winnie the Pooh movie opening July 15th. It’s a story about the Loch Ness monster and it’s best friend, a rubber duck named MacQuack. I’ve been excited to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie for a while now, but knowing there is short featuring a rubber duck before it just makes my day. To make it even better it opens on my birthday. Thanks for the presents, Disney!

I finally took Duck picture 365!

Thank you to everyone that has helped me and the duck get through it. I was tough dragging everything around wherever I went. The duck ended up in at least 5 states during our many treks and we’ve met many new friends along the way. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures and perhaps someday I’ll put together a book of them.

A New Book Using a Rubber Duck to Teach Life Lessons.

A book that was releases in December of 2010 by Melissa Saunders uses a rubber duck to teach children how to stand up for themselves and how to deal with bullying. It’s an important subject to cover at a time when so many kids feel that life isn’t worth living because of a constant battle with bullies. Tangled has Plenty for Rubber Duck Fans

I recently watched the movie Tangled and I found it to be an enjoyable movie. I’m posting this here so that all the rubber duck lovers out there that might not have had to chance to catch this movie yet, do so. There are a ton of images of a rubber duck throughout the movie and a tavern filled with thugs is called the Snuggly Duckling. The sign hanging out front features an image that looks an awful lot like a rubber duck. Here is a link to a site talking a little about the movie – including a picture of the Snuggly Duckling sign.

Disney Animation Lets Its Hair Down at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The image itself is about halfway down the page. I wasn’t expecting it when I saw the movie and it made me smile.

Here is a video of some ducks fighting a heavy wind. It involves an adult and a bunch of baby ducks. It is utterly amazing to watch how hard the little ducklings work to not blow away.

Rubber Ducking

Here is a link to an article about a theory called Rubber Ducking. Essentially, you put a duck on your monitor and when you have having problems you talk to the duck. The theory is that this will help you. The article goes on to attempt explaining how this works and discusses rubber ducks a bit more after that. Hope you enjoy it.
